We didn’t number these on Substack but you might have noticed we crossed into new territory today with a 41st post. This happened in the YouTube video and I figured I’d keep the spirit alive in this iteration.
But what I didn’t put in the YouTube video was the very apt cliche: under-promise and over-deliver.
As someone who loves to make big promises in hopes of making a good impression, all the way to my limit of what I think I can provide, this has been a tough lesson. It’s a good one though. Bring things back to what you know for sure you can handle, and without going so far as to be overly generous. Then show up with a little extra and a smile.
I’m still not great at this. But hey, I managed this time didn’t I?
