Hi Jay, I know the feelings, I visited the cemetery, all the beaches, Sainte Mère Église several years ago and the War Memorial in Caen it was a very sad day. But I have no regrets and I'm glad I went. On the USA front, at least our Washington State is a little better, but all the stuff happening is very sad and unnerving. I worry for my family living in the US. Thank you for all you do! Go Cougs! (my youngest neice is a Coug. Take care!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, dear Jay. I do appreciate your comments on the elephant in the room. So much content on YouTube skirts these big issues. I guess creators want to avoid potential controversies that might lose them subscribers. I find myself feeling subtly gaslit, though, when people act as if the world is normal now. Here in the United States, it is decidedly not normal! I walk around with a broken heart.

Strange dark days to be an American indeed. I am heading to Europe twice this year (Munich & Paris) with trips to Dachau & Normandy planned. I expected each to be somber and haunting but now I imagine it will be surreal. I remain hopeful some semblance of sanity will prevail but it’s hard to stomach how far off the rails we have spun.

Yes, After watching Band of Brothers and seeing the real ones. I also am mixed, I went to the Vietnam memorial in DC, saw my friends name brought it home. ( I went to school was not selected). Thanks for your words. 🌴🌴
